Cave Escape

Cave Escape is a simple, quick time game where the protagonist (a famous prospector) strikes a gold mine - literally - and has to escape from a crumbling cave and other greedy prospectors. Retrieve your pickaxe at to complete the level!

How to Play

As the player, your objective is to guide the protagonist out of the cave whilst avoiding spikes, enemies, lava and quick-to-disappear bridges. You have a time limit, and if it expires it's game over, but collecting golden nuggets grants you a couple of seconds more and the trophy collectibles grant even more, though there is only two in the level. If you are hurt by an enemy, you list 1 life and 2 seconds of time, but if you fall in lava, spikes or out of the map then it is INSTANT game over, so be careful. To complete the level, grab the pickaxe at the end of the level.

Gamepad (recommended)
Left Joystick: Left and Right Movement
'A' Button: Jump


Keyboard (not recommended, some delay in the input whilst on some platforms)
A and D: Left and Right Movement
Spacebar: Jump


For Playtesting

While playtesting, you can give yourself infinite time if you want to recreate a bug, etc, by pressing T. To go straight to the end menu, press the full-stop (.) button. If you need to teleport to the lower level, press G.
